Best 5G Phones Under ₹15,000 in India

Walk into any Croma store today and the salesperson will push a ₹25,000 phone at you. "Sir, for best 5G experience..." — stop right there. You don't need to spend ₹25K for solid 5G. Some of the best 5G phones sit under ₹15,000, and a couple of them genuinely surprised us.

We spent three weeks testing six budget 5G phones on both Jio and Airtel networks. Here's what we found.

1. Samsung Galaxy A25 5G — ₹14,499

Why it wins: Samsung's software support. Four years of OS updates and five years of security patches.

  • Processor: Exynos 1280
  • RAM/Storage: 6 GB / 128 GB (expandable)
  • Display: 6.5" Super AMOLED, 120 Hz
  • Camera: 50 MP main
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh, 25W charging
  • 5G Bands: n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n77, n78
  • 5G Speed: 487 Mbps (Jio, Mumbai), 412 Mbps (Airtel, Bangalore)

The Super AMOLED display is the best in this price range. The 5G modem supports all Indian bands. Software is clean One UI.

2. Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G — ₹13,999

Why it wins: The camera. A 200 MP sensor at this price is absurd, and it actually takes good photos.

  • Processor: Snapdragon 7s Gen 2
  • RAM/Storage: 8 GB / 128 GB
  • Display: 6.67" AMOLED, 120 Hz
  • Camera: 200 MP main (Samsung ISOCELL HP3)
  • Battery: 5,100 mAh, 67W turbo charging
  • 5G Speed: 521 Mbps (Jio), 467 Mbps (Airtel)

The 67W charging is the fastest in this segment — 0 to 50% in 15 minutes. Only downside: MIUI still has some ads, though they can be disabled.

3. Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G — ₹12,999

Why it wins: Best performance per rupee. The Dimensity 7050 punches above its weight.

  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7050
  • RAM/Storage: 8 GB / 128 GB
  • Display: 6.72" AMOLED, 120 Hz
  • Camera: 50 MP Sony IMX882
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh, 67W charging
  • 5G Speed: 498 Mbps (Jio), 445 Mbps (Airtel)

The Sony sensor produces more natural-looking photos than the Redmi's 200 MP. Gaming performance is nearly identical.

4. Poco M6 Pro 5G — ₹10,999

Why it wins: Under ₹11K with genuine 5G and a solid screen.

  • Processor: Snapdragon 4 Gen 2
  • RAM/Storage: 6 GB / 128 GB
  • Display: 6.67" IPS LCD, 120 Hz
  • Camera: 64 MP main
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh, 33W charging
  • 5G Speed: 389 Mbps (Jio), 334 Mbps (Airtel)

The tradeoff: LCD screen instead of AMOLED. Still a good LCD — bright enough outdoors. 5G speeds consistently above 300 Mbps.

5. Motorola Moto G85 5G — ₹14,999

Why it wins: Cleanest software experience. Near-stock Android with no ads.

  • Processor: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3
  • RAM/Storage: 8 GB / 128 GB
  • Display: 6.67" pOLED, 120 Hz
  • Camera: 50 MP with OIS
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh, 33W charging
  • 5G Speed: 456 Mbps (Jio), 401 Mbps (Airtel)

The OIS on the camera helps with video stabilization — none of the others at this price offer that. If you hate bloated software, this is the pick.

6. Samsung Galaxy A15 5G — ₹11,499

Why it wins: Samsung brand trust and long software support at the lowest price.

  • Processor: Dimensity 6100+
  • Display: 6.5" Super AMOLED, 90 Hz
  • Camera: 50 MP main
  • Battery: 5,000 mAh, 25W charging
  • 5G Speed: 367 Mbps (Jio), 312 Mbps (Airtel)

Slower than the others, and 90 Hz is a step behind 120 Hz competition. But it's Samsung with AMOLED at ₹11,499 with full 5G band support.

Our Recommendation

Best overall: Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G — the camera, charging speed, and Snapdragon chip make it the complete package.

Best budget: Poco M6 Pro 5G — genuine 5G under ₹11K.

Best for longevity: Samsung Galaxy A25 5G — that software support commitment matters.

Best software: Motorola Moto G85 — clean Android at this price is unmatched.
